Description
Providing accommodation with every comfort and amenity you would expect from a luxury award winning 3 star hotel in Cornwall, the Chy an Albany occupies a wonderfully elevated site overlooking St Ives Bay, the beaches and just a short walk from the train station at the bottom of the hill (3mins). Originally three Edwardian houses built for local sea captains with the Hain Shipping Company, Chy-an-Albany was converted to a hotel in the 1920's. The hotel has been tastefully refurbished retaining much of the charm of the original building. Take the freshest, finest local vegetables and produce, fish straight from the sea, Cornish made cheeses and a basket of exotic foods and wines from around the world. Add award winning Chef's and a dash of inspiration, mix them all together, sit back and enjoy! The Albany restaurant in St Ives invites residential and non-residential guests to experience the range and variety of our cuisine. The well appointed restaurant provides one of the best views over St Ives bay. Free WIFI is available in all front facing rooms.Viewed from the terrace, St. Ives in Cornwall is a painting made real. The pastel-washed cottages tumbling to the water's edge, the narrow streets, the brightly coloured fishing boats and the granite arms of the harbour. Artists down the generations have found inspiration here, responding to the crystal clear light and the shimmering azure waters of the bay. Some stayed for a few hours, others for a lifetime, but all fell under the spell of this paradise. Make St Ives your next holiday location in Cornwall. This is St. Ives - A Jewel situated at the south-western tip of Cornwallflanked by miles of magnificent coastal scenery, surrounded bytranquil sub-tropical gardens and country lanes that are hedged with wild honeysuckle, foxgloves, montbretia and fuschias. Please note the restaurant will be closed on 29/11/10 and 31/12/10 - 01/01/11.
