Hotel Running Horses, Dorking
RUNNING HORSES, OLD LONDON ROAD, Dorking, RH5 6DU, United Kingdom

Description
Located on the outskirts of Dorking, The Running Horses is within easy reach of Heathrow (29 miles) and Gatwick Airports (17 miles). The M25 is less than 4 miles away and its only 78 miles to the Channel Tunnel. Reputedly built in the 16th Century, The Running Horses Hotel was once a coach house servicing the main route from London to the South and has been a Traditional English Hostelry for some 400 years. Running Horses has a superb restaurant situated at the centre of the beautiful little village of Mickleham between Dorking and Leatherhead. The Hotel offers Bed& Breakfast and has six delightful en-suite rooms; one features a four-poster bed and they all have modern facilities, which you’d expect, from a refined English Inn.The Restaurant offers first class New English Cuisine using only the freshest ingredients. The à la carte menu changes regularly and there is always a good selection of fish, vegetarian and seasonal dishes. The philosophy of this traditional establishment is quite simply to give professional, personal and friendly service combined with providing a first class dining experience. Both bars, the Cadland and Colonel, offer cosy fireplaces and comfortable places to dine. In clement weather you may wish to wine and dine outside on the extensive patio. Running Horses serve a large selection of well tended real ales, beers, spirits and fine wines.Located in Surrey just between London and the South Coast, Running Horses is situated in a beautiful area of the county just off the main road from Leatherhead to Dorking. Within the area guests will find almost every leisure pursuit they could wish for. Fun days out, Leisure Centres, Theatres, Cinemas, Museums, Art Galleries, country walks through beautiful woodland or over Surrey heathlands, golf, fishing, shooting, fabulous palaces, parks and National Trust Gardens, waterways and of course famous racecourses.
