LATAM Colombia (Aerovias de Integración Regional, formerly known as Aires) founded in 1981, is a regional airline based in the Colombian capital Bogota. It operates scheduled domestic and international flights with a strong focus on Aruba, Curacao, Panama and Maracaibo. Its main base is El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, with secondary bases at airports in La Manguita in Neiva, Ernesto Cortissoz in Barranquilla, Olaya Herrera in Medellín and Perales in Ibagué. On 28 October 2010, Aires announced that 98% of the shares have been acquired by LAN Airlines. On December 3, 2011, it started operations as LAN Colombia, and now after the merge between LAM and TAM was rebranded LATAM Colombia.
