AirTran Airways, founded in 1992 under the name of ValuJet Airlines, is an American low cost airline. The company is a subsidiary of Southwest Airlines, which was fully acquired in March 1st of 2012. Its headquarters is in Orlando, Florida, USA and operates over 700 daily flights mostly to domestic destinations in eastern and western parts of the country. Its main hub is Hartsfield-Jackson international airport in Atlanta, and its secondary hubs are Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall (BWI), General Mitchell International Milwaukee (MKE) e Orlando International (MCO). In March of 2012 AirTran Airways was acquired by Southwest Airlines. In december 2014 AirTran Airways was full integrated into Southwest Airlines.

“There's been a misunderstanding between me and my husband, for a flight from Fort Lauderdale and Las Vegas...so we took Air Tran: no co-operation, we are sorry, but we will never fly again with Air Tran.”
