Air India Limited, founded in 1932 under the name Tata Airlines, is the flagship airline of India, and the only national company whose shares are completely owned by the state (controlled by the National Aviation Company of India Limited). It operates national and international flights over a broad network of over 120 destinations in Africa, Asia, North America and Europe. Air India’s hubs are Chhatrapati Shivaji International airport in Mumbai (main hub) and Indira Gandhi International airport in New Delhi (secondary hub), while the focus airports are Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International, Raja Sansi International and London Heathrow. On 27 February 2011, Air India and Indian Airlines merged along with their subsidiaries to form Air India Limited.
