Air One smart carrier, founded in 1983 under the name Aliadriatica and known under the trade name of "Air One", is an Italian low cost airline based in the capital Rome. Air One operates scheduled domestic flights at high frequency in a wide network of destinations, as well as international flights to several European cities and some African destination. In summer of 2008 it started operating intercontinental flights to destinations Boston and Chicago. Air One from 28 March 2009 is Alitalia's subsidiary, based in Milan Malpensa Airport and headquartered in Fiumicino, Italy. The company's main hubs are located in the airports of Milan Malpensa (MXP), Venice Marco Polo (VCE) and Pisa Galileo Galilei (PSA). Air One has ceased operations on September 30, 2014.
